Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the Post Falls Concrete website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for concrete work. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them.

If you hire us, your written estimate or contract sets out the details of your job. Where that document and these terms disagree, your written estimate or contract wins. You can return to our home page at any time to see the services and cities we work in.

The services we provide

Post Falls Concrete is a concrete contractor in Post Falls, ID. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, slabs, foundations, footings, retaining walls and other flatwork, and we also do stamped and decorative concrete, concrete cutting and foundation raising.

What we do on your job is limited to the work written in your estimate or contract. Anything outside it, such as extra square footage or added removal, is a change, and we'll agree on it with you before we do it. You can read more about who we are on our about page.

Estimates and pricing

We give free quotes on site, with no pressure and no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is dug, such as soft or wet soil under the slab, buried debris, roots or unmarked lines. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and explain what it changes before we go on. A price change only applies once you've agreed to it.

An estimate stays good for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update it before we schedule your job.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule pours around the weather because rain, freezing nights and hard heat can all weaken new concrete. If conditions on your pour day could hurt the finished slab, we'll move the date and tell you as early as we can. A weather delay isn't a breach of our agreement.

If you need to cancel or move your job, call us as soon as you know. You can cancel at no charge before we've ordered materials or started work. Once materials are ordered, delivered or placed, you're responsible for those costs and for the work already done, as your written contract explains.

Payment

Your written estimate or contract sets the amount due, any deposit, when each payment is due and the payment methods we accept. Final payment is due when the work is finished as written, unless your contract says otherwise.

If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until it's settled. We'll talk with you first, because most payment problems get sorted out with a phone call.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us what you know about the property, such as sprinkler lines, septic systems, drainage problems or where your property line sits. Vehicles, furniture and other items should be moved out of the work area before we arrive.

Whether a job needs a permit depends on the city or county, and your written contract says who arranges it. Any homeowner association approval is yours to get unless the contract says otherwise.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength. You agree to keep people, pets and vehicles off it for the times we give you, and to follow the care instructions we leave.

What concrete does naturally

Concrete shrinks as it cures, and it moves with freezing, thawing and the ground under it. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of at random. Hairline cracks, small color differences between pours and minor surface variation are normal and aren't defects.

Stamped, colored and decorative concrete will vary in shade and pattern from samples and photos, because every batch and every pour is a little different.

Warranty disclaimer

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, and any warranty on your job is the one written in your contract. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it.

We don't warrant against damage from things outside our control, including ground settling beyond our base work, tree roots, flooding, freeze damage from deicing salts, heavy vehicles or equipment the slab wasn't built for, use before it cured, or changes others make to grading or drainage. Apart from what's written in your contract and what the law requires, our work and this website are provided without other warranties.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Post Falls Concrete's total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of your driveway, lost income or damage caused by conditions we couldn't reasonably have known about.

Post Falls Concrete is licensed and insured. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Using this website

The information on this site is general and isn't a quote, a design or professional advice for your property. Your own job is priced and planned on site.

The text, photos and other content on this site belong to Post Falls Concrete and may not be copied for commercial use without our permission. Links to other websites are for your convenience, and we're not responsible for their content.

Settling disputes

If you have a concern about our work, call us first. Most problems can be fixed once we see them, and we'd rather come out and look than argue over it.

If we can't settle it between us within 30 days of your written notice, either side may pursue mediation or take the matter to a court that has jurisdiction. Each side pays its own costs unless a court or the law decides otherwise.

Governing law

These terms and any job we do are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, where Post Falls Concrete is based. Any court case about them will be heard in Idaho, unless the law of the state where the work was done requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a signed contract for a job already agreed, unless both sides agree in writing.
